I am an Iraqi native and architect currently studying the Smart City Solutions MA at the University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart. As an Iraqi citizen previously exiled to Jordan, I have seen first-hand the devastating aftershocks of the war in Iraq. It was this that initially prompted me to apply for the Smart City Solutions MA with a view to rebuilding my country and the regions affected by war.

However, having explored in more depth the ideas surrounding Smart City Solutions I have become frustrated with the too-narrow approach often taken with wider issues. I have come to understand more fully that these challenges really require a more holistic, global-minded approach. I am very passionate about affecting change and the need to lead the world to peace.
