The ProMaterial Technologies network - the cloud-based sales technology for manufacturers, dealers and construction companies. ProMaterial is the new technology network specialized in online sales of building products. The innovate sales concept allows searching and buying construction products in a variety of sales channels. Nine letters, numbers and symbols are intended to simplify the digital distribution of construction products. ProMaterial Technologies GmbH compiles them into a code that describes a property of a building material. ST05-THIR stands for the thermal conductivity of a drywall system - regardless of the manufacturer. “With the unique and machine-readable codes, the UniversalTypes, we are building an international data standard of excellent quality that makes online trading and communication in the construction industry more transparent and efficient. The market volume is "gigantic". In Germany alone, construction products worth around 130 billion euros are bought every year, but only a fraction of them online. ProMaterial has already encoded the data from over 350 manufacturers. 80 million UniversalTypes were generated from over 900,000 articles. Our network thus represents a retail turnover of three billion euros, which could be transformed from the analog to the digital world. ProMaterial assumes that the business will shift more to the Internet in the coming years thanks to the UniversalTypes. A data standard has already proven itself in other branches of industry. With GlobalTypes, one of the ProMaterial founders made the various types of products in the travel industry more comparable back in the 2010s and was very successful in over 55 countries around the world.
